After you’ve visited our exhibition and had a scrumptious treat in the tearoom, you’ll want to buy a souvenir of your visit. We have a range of keyrings, magnets and postcards to do exactly that!

For boaters and canal enthusiasts, we stock hand-painted canalware from Shropshire blacksmiths Black Country Metalworks. These are beautifully painted in traditional ‘roses and castles’ canal art. We also stock small trinkets and gifts, painted by Rachel’s Canal Art at nearby Newark-On-Trent. You will also find canal-themed souvenirs, such as tea towels, fridge magnets and narrowboat models.

You will find the perfect gift in our shop and we stock a range of garden and homeware and books. Laceware pottery is very popular and we source this from Olde Mill Pottery in Caythorpe – it is a unique craft, made from imprinting Nottingham lace onto clay. We’ve got a large range of greetings cards too, many of which are made by local artists.

We like to keep the kids happy here at Canalside and we stock a range of pocket-money fun from explorer kits, traditional style toys and sugar-free sweets. Our soft cuddly creatures, from ducks to otters are dying to meet you! We’re also proud to stock a very unique children’s storybook, the ‘Dog & Duck’ which tells a story along the Nottingham & Beeston Canal.

Toys

Finally, we stock local jams and chutneys from Mr Pitchfork’s pickles, as well as packs of local beer and ale from Lenton Lane Brewery. We have our own bee hive in the garden, so depending on the season, you may find jars of honey.

All proceeds raised from the shop go towards supporting the Canalside Heritage Centre Trust, the small independent charity that manages and maintains the Canalside Heritage Centre. We look forward to seeing you soon!
